The Defence and Industry Courses Association [DAICA] is an association of graduates of both the Industrial Mobilisation Course [IMC] and the Defence and Industry Study Course [DISC]. The IMC which ran from the early 1950’s through to 1991 and the DISC that replaced it from 1993 are courses conducted by the Department of Defence aimed at enhancing the relationship between Defence and Industry.

Prior to 1996 the association was known as the Industrial Mobilisation Course Association [IMCA]. The name was changed in recognition of the growing number of DISC graduates joining the association, and playing a major part in its management and activities.

continuation of the personal and professional activities so much enjoyed by IMC and DISC students, but access to the networks of graduates from all states and industry sectors provides a significant professional benefit for members.
The DAICA National Council seeks to promote suitable activities and events across Australia to enhance these benefits.
DAICA is a soundly based organisation focused on the benefits for its members. It has a corporate plan and defined ongoing programs.
