RUSI - Victoria Lunchtime Address: ‘Afghanistan Elections 2009 and Beyond ’ Thursday, August 26, 2010

Coordinating the Joint Domains to Address the Challenge Facing the Future Force Wednesday, August 18, 2010

USI-ACT cordially invites DAICA members to attend this presentation by AIRCDRE Chris Westwood, Director-General Joint Capability Coordination and Mr Dave Lavers, Director, Joint Enabling Domains at 5.00pm in the Russell Offices R-1 Ground floor Theatrette.

The Russell Offices R-1 Theatrette is located to the immediate left once you are inside the entrance to the Russell Offices R-1 building and is open to the public.

The R-1 building is situated at the corner of Constitution Avenue and Northcott Drive in Campbell, northwest of the Australian-American Memorial. Parking should be readily available nearby at this time of day.

'Air Force Postured for a Joint Future' - a Presentation by DGISR-AF Wednesday, July 28, 2010

Air Commodore Warren Ludwig, AM, Director-General Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance - Air Force, will address the United Services Institute of the Australian Capital Territory (USI of the ACT) on ‘Air Force - Postured for the Joint Future’ on Wednesday, 28 July 2010 in Adams Hall at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) at 6.30 pm.

1983 NSW IMC Reunion Sunday, July 25, 2010

The members of the New South Wales IMC 1983 course still get together about two or three times a year to remember good times and to enjoy friendships made on the course. Recently, the course celebrated Christmas in July in the Blue Mountains at the home of Air Commodore Frank Burtt (retired) and his wife Ann with a traditional Christmas Dinner of turkey, roast pork and ham with all the trimmings.  Centrepiece of the meal was an ice sculptured Christmas Tree provided by the daughter of Dr Ron Roberts and his wife Kay, who flew up from Tasmania for the gathering.  The group was joined by Bruce Hart, a graduate of CISC 2006 and his wife Rosemary, who live next door to the Burtts.

DAICA Dinner at the Naval, Military and Air Force Club of South Australia Wednesday, April 07, 2010

A DAICA Social Function is to be held on Wednesday 07 April 2010, in the form of a dinner at the Naval, Military & Air Force Club of South Australia, 111 Hutt Street, Adelaide, South Australia.

DAICA will be subsidising this function. For DAICA Members and their partners or a personal guest, the cost will be $50 a head for a three course meal including wines, beers and soft drinks.

If you wish to invite additional guests the cost will be $70 a head.

Timing:

Pre-Dinner drinks from 6.30PM
Dinner: 7.00PM

Dress: (as advised by the Club’s published dress standards)

Gentlemen: jacket and tailored trousers with collar and tie.
Ladies should dress conservatively and follow the same dress code as gentlemen (trousers, when worn, must be tailored).

Speaker:

Mr Chris Burns, CSC, Director Land, Defence SA, will attend and will speak during the Dinner.

The DAICA National Council will be holding its April meeting at the same venue commencing at 3.00pm.  DAICA members are welcome to attend as observers. Due to the need to address the meeting’s agenda in a limited time, discussion with Council members on topics addressed at the meeting will not be possible. However Council members will welcome discussion during the dinner function.
